Stock Options & RSUs

Navigate ISOs, NQSOs, and RSUs across any tech company. I help with exercise timing, tax optimization strategies, and diversification strategies.

RSU Tax Planning: What Amazon and Microsoft Employees Need to Know

IPO Planning

When your company files to go public, the planning window is short. I model ISO exercise timing relative to the expected offering price, project AMT exposure, and build a post-lockup diversification plan before your first sale opportunity arrives.

Concentrated Positions

Reduce single-stock risk without triggering unnecessary taxes. Systematic diversification, charitable strategies, and hedging options.

FIRE Planning

Many tech professionals aim for financial independence and early retirement. I build bridge strategies and tax-efficient withdrawal plans. Retiring early also means a longer drawdown and more exposure to sequence-of-returns risk, which I plan for directly.

Startup Equity

Evaluate your equity package before you join or when you receive a new grant. I help with early exercise decisions, 83(b) elections within the 30-day window, and whether your shares qualify for the QSBS federal tax exclusion under Section 1202.

Business Planning

Cross-Border Planning

H-1B, L-1, and international employees face specific tax and immigration-related financial considerations. I coordinate across jurisdictions.

RSU Tax Planning Checklist

A step-by-step checklist for Amazon, Microsoft, and tech employees managing RSU vesting, ESPP timing, mega backdoor Roth implementation, and equity diversification.

FAQ

Frequently asked about working with Alex.

When does it make sense to hire someone like you?

The clients I work with best are usually at an inflection point: a significant income jump, a business sale, a growing family, equity compensation that's getting complicated, or a realization that they've been too busy to give their finances the attention they deserve. If you have the income and complexity but not the time or expertise to manage it well, that's when I tend to add the most value.

Is there an account minimum?

There is no minimum account size. What matters is whether the work aligns with your situation and needs, and that is what we determine together in the discovery call.
